The Content Specialist is responsible for planning, developing, and executing web and marketing strategies to support growth, enhance search engine optimization (SEO), and ensure brand alignment. This role involves creating compelling content that provides an exceptional user experience and drives engagement across various platforms.
Key responsibilities include developing a range of marketing materials such as web copy, brochures, email campaigns, press releases, and corporate presentations. The specialist will execute web strategies to meet marketing goals, with a strong emphasis on SEO best practices for existing websites and new micro-sites. Additionally, the role involves managing social media engagement, overseeing an editorial calendar for consistent messaging, and collaborating with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders to produce high-quality marketing content. Quality assurance through proofreading and editing is also essential.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Creative Writing, English, or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in communications and online content production. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a solid understanding of web writing tactics are required. Strong grammar skills, a self-starter mentality, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are essential. A collaborative attitude and strong work ethic are highly valued. Salary range is approximately $50,000 – $55,000 per year.
