We are seeking an experienced survey professional to support civil and infrastructure construction work. In this role, you will be responsible for setting out site locations, checking elevations, and capturing accurate field measurements to support project delivery. Projects may range from medium-sized developments to major infrastructure work, so a strong focus on precision and quality is essential.
Your duties will include operating modern surveying equipment for layout and as-built verification, recording and organizing field data, and preparing information used for drawings, plans, and project documentation. You will work with coordinate systems, construction drawings, and basic geospatial concepts to help ensure field work matches design requirements. You will also review and manage digital survey files, using standard software and data workflows to support completion of survey tasks.
This position also requires a strong commitment to workplace safety, including following established procedures, completing hazard assessments, and contributing to safe field operations. Clear communication is important, as you will provide progress updates and document changes or issues encountered on site.
We are looking for candidates with several years of construction surveying experience, strong attention to detail, good judgment, and the ability to work independently. Formal training in geospatial, geoscience, or a related technical field is considered an asset, and flexibility to work variable hours is required.
