Construction Site Superintendent

An established general contractor is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee a multi-family townhouse build in Vancouver. This is a full-time, on-site role beginning in mid-2026 and continuing for roughly 14 months, with future work expected afterward in the same sector. In this position, you will lead day-to-day site operations from mobilization through occupancy. Responsibilities include coordinating subcontractors and suppliers, keeping the schedule on track, maintaining a safe and organized jobsite, and ensuring work meets quality standards. You will work closely with project management to align field activity with budget and timeline goals, and you will serve as the main site contact for consultants, clients, and trade partners. The role also involves maintaining project records, preparing field updates, managing change documentation, and supporting cost awareness throughout construction. Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills are important, along with the ability to stay calm and decisive in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should have several years of experience in commercial or multi-family construction, including leadership on ground-up projects. Experience with wood-frame residential work is an asset, as are relevant industry credentials and familiarity with modern construction management software.
