This role focuses on planning and coordinating build methods so projects can be delivered safely, efficiently, and within budget. You will work closely with design, estimating, scheduling, and site teams to turn engineering intent into practical construction approaches that can be carried out in the field.
Your responsibilities will include preparing and updating method statements, technical notes, sketches, and risk assessments. You will review drawings and specifications to spot buildability issues, then help develop practical solutions and sequence the work logically. The role also involves supporting site logistics, lifting and access planning, and participating in constructability reviews during design development. You may visit active sites to confirm that planned methods are workable and to support implementation.
In addition, you will help identify where temporary works are required and coordinate with engineers and technicians on the preparation of related design information and documentation. This can include items such as support systems, access arrangements, or other temporary structures needed during construction. You will also review technical information for practicality and alignment with safety and project requirements.
The ideal candidate has a background in civil engineering, construction management, or a similar discipline, along with several years of experience in infrastructure or civil construction. Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, good communication skills, and familiarity with common drafting and scheduling software are important. Professional licensing or eligibility to obtain it is considered an asset.
