This full-time, permanent role leads community and Indigenous engagement efforts that support project advancement in northern British Columbia. The position is based in a hybrid office and remote setup with regional travel, including regular visits to surrounding communities and project sites. Occasional additional hours may be required. Salary is competitive and includes potential cash incentives.
Working within a broader social, environmental, and regulatory team, the manager will develop and carry out engagement plans, coordinate meetings and community events, and build effective relationships with Indigenous Nations and local communities. A key part of the role is ensuring engagement activities are well planned, properly documented, and aligned with project, safety, environmental, and regulatory objectives.
The position also supports a major approval process by helping prepare or review social and Indigenous-related materials, tracking engagement outcomes, and incorporating feedback into project planning and risk management. This includes working with internal specialists across technical, environmental, and other project functions to support meaningful participation and informed decision-making.
The ideal candidate brings substantial experience in community and Indigenous engagement, along with exposure to large-scale regulatory or approval processes. Education in a related social science or similar field is considered an asset.
