Reporting to senior nursing leadership within a public health system, the person in this position provides strategic support, coordination and expert guidance across high-acuity care services. The role focuses on helping improve professional practices in areas such as emergency care, critical care, and perioperative and surgical care. It also supports the adoption of evidence-informed approaches, promotes consistency in clinical tools and work methods, and helps align care practices with organizational and government priorities.
Key responsibilities include advising regional leaders, managers, care teams and committees on matters related to specialized and critical care; contributing expert input to health system stakeholders and public authorities; and preparing clinical, scientific, organizational, ethical and legal analyses, along with recommendations, reports and situation updates. The role also involves representing the nursing function in internal and external forums, maintaining strong collaboration with clinical partners and professional stakeholders, and helping develop, update and share clinical frameworks, guidance documents and other support tools.
The incumbent contributes to the design and rollout of improved care approaches, monitors quality and performance indicators, and helps ensure ongoing alignment with strategic objectives and patient care priorities. Strong clinical judgment, advisory skills and the ability to work across multiple stakeholders are essential.
