Civil & Mechanical QC Inspector (Lead Experience Preferred)
We are seeking one experienced QC Inspector to lead and carry out civil and mechanical inspection activities with limited supervision. The role involves verifying that inspection and test plans are followed and properly documented, as well as reviewing drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, structural drawings, and project specifications. Strong knowledge of relevant civil and mechanical codes, standards, and quality requirements is essential.
Responsibilities include conducting surveillance, witness, and hold point inspections according to QC plans and contractor schedules, monitoring site work for compliance with approved procedures, and identifying, documenting, and tracking non-conformances through corrective and preventive actions. The inspector will also coordinate with subcontractors and construction teams to resolve quality issues promptly. Duties may include mechanical dimensional checks, fit-up and weld verification where applicable, and civil inspections such as compaction, concrete placement, and rebar checks. Accurate recordkeeping and timely submission of inspection reports, test records, checklists, and related documentation are required. Support and mentorship to junior inspectors may be expected.
A civil or mechanical diploma/degree or CCIL-certified technician qualification is required. Hands-on construction or industrial site experience is strongly preferred, along with proficiency in MS Office and digital QC documentation tools. Strong communication, organization, safety awareness, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are important. Previous lead or senior QC experience is preferred.
