Location: Timmins, ON with travel throughout the district Job type: Full Time – 35 hours per week Closing Date: June 04, 2026
In this role, you will ensure the provision of equitable, respectful, and culturally relevant services. You will oversee the daily operations of protection and support services, ensuring compliance with all legislative and documentation requirements within prescribed timelines. Your responsibilities will include providing leadership, direction, guidance, and ongoing supervision to a team, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and values.
You will maintain effective partnerships with relevant councils, committees, and agencies, and ensure the prompt assignment, transfer, and closure of cases while maintaining detailed records for tracking. Additionally, you will respond to issues and complaints according to established procedures and participate in the ongoing evaluation of programs to ensure culturally appropriate services.
Qualifications include an MSW or BSW with prior experience in social services, particularly within Indigenous communities, and at least two years of supervisory experience. A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation is required, along with a valid driver’s license and the ability to work flexible hours. Excellent management, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential. Knowledge of word processing and database systems is also necessary.
