Capital Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced project leader to manage capital initiatives that improve public-facing spaces and visitor experiences. In this role, you will guide projects from early planning through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and final closeout. You will work with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, funding partners, and community stakeholders to keep projects aligned with scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations. The work includes preparing business cases, coordinating planning and design activities, managing risks, tracking costs, and supporting reporting for leadership and governance groups. You will also help oversee contractor performance, contract administration, change control, and project documentation. A key part of the role is representing the organization during site activity, reviews, testing, and occupancy preparation. You will collaborate across departments to support accessibility, sustainability, safety, and inclusive practices throughout delivery. The ideal candidate has a diploma or degree in a related field such as project management, engineering, architecture, or construction. You should have several years of experience delivering projects through planning, design, and build phases, along with strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and project reporting is important. Professional certification is considered an asset, as is experience with public-facing facilities or exhibition environments.
