Business Systems Architect

We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Architect to lead the direction, design, and reliability of core business applications in a full-time, on-site role in British Columbia. This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on with development, but whose strongest contribution is making sound architectural decisions, setting technical standards, and ensuring solutions are built to last. The successful candidate will own key business systems, reporting platforms, and the integrations that connect them. Responsibilities include evaluating business needs, designing practical technical solutions, reviewing custom development, and improving existing systems to reduce complexity and technical debt. You will guide internal staff and external vendors, assess code quality and system performance, and make sure work meets expectations for security, reliability, maintainability, and scalability. This role also includes responsibility for reporting and data integrity, including the structure of datasets, refresh processes, and consistency of business metrics. You will troubleshoot issues to identify root causes, maintain documentation and version control practices, and help ensure the organization has dependable systems and accurate information to support day-to-day operations and future growth.
