We are seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) for an Inside Sales position in the mortgage industry. This is a permanent role with a compensation range of $70,000 – $80,000, plus a monthly commission structure. In this position, the BDM will collaborate with key accounts and mortgage brokers to promote innovative mortgage products and tools. Key responsibilities include training and educating both new and existing brokers, implementing underwriting guidelines, and creating training materials. The BDM will also be responsible for managing regional brokers, onboarding new agents, and conducting reference checks. Additional duties involve increasing mortgage applications, managing decline and cancellation ratios, and maintaining regular assessments of broker performance. The BDM will work closely with a team of underwriters and production staff to ensure a strong business relationship, while also monitoring competitive marketing initiatives in the area. To be successful in this role, candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the mortgage industry and at least 4 years of sales or relationship management experience. A university degree is preferred, along with strong knowledge of mortgage underwriting and the real estate market. Exceptional communication, presentation, and organizational skills are essential, as is proficiency in standard PC software applications. A self-motivated and results-oriented approach is crucial for success in this role.
