Business Development Director – Commercial & Industrial A growing energy solutions provider is seeking an experienced business development leader to drive new customer growth and expand relationships with large commercial and industrial energy users. This role focuses on solution-based selling of energy management and grid-related services that help clients lower costs, improve reliability, and support sustainability goals. The successful candidate will identify target accounts, build a pipeline, cold call prospective clients, and close new business. You will develop a personal sales strategy, manage opportunities through a CRM, and work closely with internal technical, finance, and operations teams to support proposal development and solution design. The role also involves maintaining and growing strategic partnerships and engaging stakeholders at all levels, from senior executives to operational teams. This is a strong opportunity for a self-directed sales professional with a hunter mindset and experience selling complex technical solutions in the energy sector. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in a new business sales role, preferably serving large commercial and industrial power users. Experience with demand response, distributed energy resources, or related grid-edge technologies is required. Familiarity with Salesforce or a similar CRM is preferred, along with a college or university education.
