An opportunity is available for a Building Maintenance/Caretaker interested in establishing a long-term working relationship within a residential condominium setting. This position is ideal for an experienced, self-motivated individual who enjoys working independently, engaging in continuous learning, and interacting with residents in a vibrant community.
This is a live-in role, offering a two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite with a monthly rental rate.
Key Responsibilities:
The Building Maintenance/Caretaker will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the building, which includes performing a variety of ongoing maintenance and custodial duties. Responsibilities include:
- Cleaning common areas daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Conducting routine maintenance and repairs.
- Monitoring building systems, including heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, safety, and security.
- Coordinating contracted services as needed.
- Responding to emergencies outside regular hours.
- Enforcing building rules and regulations.
- Collaborating with residents and management to achieve cleanliness and safety goals.
- Maintaining accurate records and providing reports as required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of five years of experience in building maintenance or caretaking.
- Proven ability to perform maintenance and custodial tasks.
- Experience with cleaning equipment and tools.
Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge of property management practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
Position Details:
- Full-time permanent role.
- Annual salary range of $55,000-$60,000.
- Live-in position with a caretaker suite available for rent.
