Automation Engineer

This role is responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of automation solutions that support production operations and improve manufacturing performance. The position involves working closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement, create practical technical solutions, and ensure reliable implementation on the plant floor. The successful candidate will guide automation projects from concept through commissioning, while also supporting ongoing system performance and troubleshooting needs. Key duties include developing control and automation strategies, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and helping standardize approaches that improve efficiency, quality, and uptime. This position requires strong technical experience in industrial automation, along with the ability to lead workstreams, solve complex problems, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams. Experience in a manufacturing or operations environment is important, as is a hands-on approach to project delivery. This is a hybrid role based in a major Canadian city.
