Assistant Production Manager

We are seeking an Assistant Production Manager to oversee afternoon shift operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role involves direct leadership of a team of over 50 employees and requires a confident, hands-on leader capable of exercising sound judgment and operating independently. You will collaborate closely with the Production Manager to take full ownership of shift performance, driving results, supporting Supervisors, and ensuring that all production activities adhere to safety, quality, and efficiency standards. As the primary escalation point during your shift, you will make timely decisions to ensure operational continuity, including after-hours support when necessary. This position is ideal for a proven leader who thrives in a dynamic setting and is passionate about building strong teams, improving processes, and maintaining high standards. Key Responsibilities include supporting and overseeing production activities, driving performance against KPIs, leading and coaching Production Leads, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and collaborating with various teams. Candidates should have 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing, with 2-3 years in a leadership role, and possess strong knowledge of safety and quality standards.
