We are seeking an Assistant Category Manager to support category operations and promotional planning activities. In this role, you will help maintain accurate data for promotions, product listings, and vendor records, while working closely with category leadership and cross-functional teams. You will also help coordinate updates with ecommerce and partner teams, provide support to internal and external contacts, and assist with a range of category-related tasks.
Key responsibilities include reviewing and updating system information, handling requested changes to pricing and deal details, supporting ad development and proofing, and helping resolve issues related to product listings and retail pricing. You will also help identify and report data inconsistencies, provide guidance to vendors when needed, and support seasonal initiatives and other category projects. In addition, you may be asked to prepare reports, assist with communication materials, and step in for the category manager when required.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience in category management or a related field. Strong analytical skills, comfort working with large amounts of data, and proficiency with standard office software and enterprise systems are important. Experience in grocery or ecommerce environments is an asset.
