Aquatics Team Leader

We are seeking a full-time, permanent Aquatics Team Leader to support daily pool operations and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment for participants, families, and staff. This role involves working varied shifts, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends, and offers an hourly rate of $26.08. The position reports to the Aquatics Supervisor and includes a mix of hands-on instruction, supervision, and administrative support. In this role, you will lead by example while supporting swim instructors and lifeguards to meet program standards and follow established procedures. You will help coordinate lesson coverage, adjust assignments as needed, and communicate with parents or guardians when appropriate. A key part of the job is helping maintain quality, consistency, and safety across aquatics programming while building positive relationships with members and colleagues. You will also assist with general administrative tasks, attend team meetings and training sessions, and remain adaptable to changing priorities and schedules. Strong customer service skills, a professional appearance, and reliable attendance are important. The successful candidate will hold current first aid, CPR/AED, swim instruction, and lifeguard certifications, with prior experience in lifeguarding or swimming instruction. A satisfactory criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening and professional references will be required.
