AI Technical Director

We are looking for a senior technical artist to lead the development of a production-ready generative video pipeline for visual effects work. This is a remote role for someone who can take ownership of the technical direction, build reliable workflows, and help artists use new AI tools effectively across multiple projects. In this position, you will design and maintain reusable pipeline templates, evaluate emerging video generation models, and decide how they fit into day-to-day production. The work will involve solving practical challenges such as maintaining visual consistency over time, keeping characters and identities stable across shots, controlling motion, and blending generated material into live-action footage. You will also create custom automation and tools to improve iteration speed, manage local GPU-based inference, and balance quality, performance, and memory limits against deadlines. The right candidate has deep experience with modern workflow tools for generative content, strong Python scripting skills, and a solid understanding of VFX fundamentals such as compositing, rotoscoping, and color workflows. Familiarity with model conditioning, adapters, inpainting, and related control methods is important, along with experience working in local GPU environments. Prior leadership in a VFX, animation, or post-production setting is a plus, as is experience with model tuning, batch processing, and broader post-production tools.
