Accounting and Reconciliation Officer

We are seeking an accounting professional to support the finance function on a large infrastructure project. This role focuses on the final stages of the procure-to-pay cycle, including checking purchase orders, delivery information, and supplier invoices to identify and resolve mismatches. The position reports to the Finance Manager and works closely with procurement, operations, suppliers, and accounts payable to keep records accurate and issues moving toward resolution. Key duties include monitoring discrepancies, maintaining delivery and cost records, validating invoices and related adjustments, and supporting monthly accruals for unresolved items and recurring charges. You will also help prepare financial reports and performance metrics, contribute ideas to improve internal processes, and provide guidance on the purchasing system when needed. Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and adherence to internal procedures are essential. The ideal candidate has several years of experience in accounting or finance, with knowledge of procure-to-pay processes and reconciliation work. A post-secondary background in accounting is preferred, along with solid Excel skills, good communication, and the ability to coordinate with multiple teams. Experience with enterprise accounting software is helpful.
