This role is responsible for leading day-to-day client work and helping deliver integrated communications programs across a range of sectors. The Account Manager will act as the main contact for assigned accounts, supporting client relationships, guiding project execution, and contributing strategic thinking to public relations and social media initiatives.
Working closely with senior team members, this person will help shape campaigns, manage deadlines and budgets, and keep projects moving smoothly from planning through delivery. Responsibilities include writing and editing client-facing materials such as media pitches, press releases, advisories, updates, and social content, as well as supporting media outreach, events, and other campaign activities.
The position also includes a leadership component. The Account Manager will coach junior staff, provide feedback, and help ensure the team stays informed about priorities, progress, and any emerging issues. A proactive approach is important, with the ability to spot risks, recommend solutions, and step in where needed to support execution.
The ideal candidate has several years of agency experience in communications or public relations, along with strong writing, organization, and client service skills. Familiarity with media relations, campaign management, and collaborative team environments is essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
