The Account Director, Supply Chain Consulting, is responsible for originating and expanding advisory and transformation engagements within a consulting practice. This role focuses on selling pathways rather than projects, integrating diagnostics, strategy, and execution into a structured, multi-phase engagement model. Key responsibilities include driving new business and expansion revenue, translating client challenges into actionable diagnostics and roadmaps, and ensuring alignment with consulting delivery capacity and margin expectations.
Candidates should have 10-20 years of experience in consulting, strategy, or transformation roles, with a proven track record in selling supply chain transformation and operational improvement programs. Strong skills in translating ambiguity into structured programs and connecting strategy to execution are essential.
The role involves generating new consulting opportunities through relationship-building, engaging C-suite stakeholders in strategic discussions, and identifying entry points for diagnostics across target accounts. Additionally, the Account Director will shape consulting programs, manage proposals, and coordinate pricing to align with delivery capacity.
Success in the first 90 days includes aligning with the consulting team, generating a qualified advisory pipeline, and establishing multi-phase engagement strategies. Key performance indicators will focus on consulting bookings, average deal size, advisory win rates, and forecast accuracy.
